Wild Honey
Last week Haley, Alex, and I went to a Bee Keeping class at the St. John's Agricultural Center.

We learned a lot, got down with some retirees, and explored the arboretum and community garden on site.

Everyday People
Before heading east Bailey and I spent some time in Portland which included fourth of july and the weeks to follow. Babe made margaritas, Gary cooked a delicious meal, and we set fireworks off in the backyard-a fine family affair. We biked to the bluffs for big fireworks over the river but were only in time to see a bunch of dudes shoot rockets at each other. Fireworks are way legal there so biking in the nighttime streets was like a crackling smoky apocalypse.

In the weeks to follow I spent most of my time walking around the northeast catching the sights, and taking care of Jan's garden. Lizi babysat in the day and we hung in the nights. Cooked many a good dinner, BINGO on mondays, bike rides, and porch hangs. I can't wait to see Portland and my sweet little Mallory street family again.
