Life on the Henge

today was an early, hazy morning at Stonehenge. woke up to feed hungry chickens, find K rearranging the car port, and goats protesting the new rain. much work was done- Taylor spent hours chopping wood and kept the fire burning all day-the house has been super warm, almost too hot.  Adam gave the kitchen a much needed deep clean- you can almost, but not quite, eat off the floor. we started cleaning up the side yard for our future garden-the goats helped by clearing blackberry bush and bramble. later we took them on a walk in the field during a pause in the rain. most importantly, there was ample time for pet portraiture.

the fall is beautiful out here. the leaves are so yellow and orange that they have the ability to trick you into thinking its sunny outside, even on the rainiest day.
