There's a whole lot of new around here.
The garden had come a long way. We built up the fence, layered the beds, and everyone planted while i was in Washington. Things were looking good, baby collards and strawberries were growing, seed starts we'd planted began shooting up, and we'd finally found vine peas to plant under the teepee. Then the goats realized that they could push through the fence, we woke up to empty garden beds. It was a sad set back, but now we're working on fence reinforcement, and the gate surely says access denied to the grazing goats. We're hoping to re plant this weekend, once the rain stops.
When I came home from Washington we had a new member of the Stonehenge family, Mattie dog. She super sweet, and super big! Kristin took her in just to foster her, but we have all really come to love her. Her dog skills are playing the drums with her tail and crotch jabbing.
Eliza, Samuel and I also decided that we needed baby chicks. We welcomed two chicks, Bridget and Coop, and I waited a week in hopes of meeting a duckling friend. I picked up Burger last friday. He is the sweetest little guy...
Graves also came by to play another radical show last Friday night. We had our best potluck yet, the basement was packed, and there was a crucial living room dance party after the show. There was even teepee construction out in the field in the early evening.
